Overview

The Netsys NM-102 KIT including NM-102 A20 (Master) & NM-102 B20 (Slave) is a converter that translates transmission signals from a twisted-pair 100BASE-TX cable to 100BASE-FX fiber optic cable(UTP).
The converter automatically adapts to the highest level of performance supported by the device connected to the ETHERNET port. When the device is a switch or a workstation that supports full duplex, the converter adapts to the full-duplex mode and provides an effective 200Mbps bandwidth. When the device connected is a hub or a workstation that supports only half duplex, the converter adapts to the half-duplex mode and provides the nominal 100Mbps bandwidth. In fiber-optic interface, the port of converter operates at 1310 nm and use WDM connector. Single-mode model that supports distance up to 20-km is available.
